We believe that the term Mental Model in how it relates to Don Norman’s work and philosophy can be defined or described as follows: The precept of having various alternate conclusions or reactions to situations that may or may not be accurate based on knowledge formed in part from past or present experiences and adapting this to Human-Computer Interaction and Usability.
